200 Years of Gerník

In 2027, Gerník marks 200 years since its beginnings.

Across two centuries, generations have lived, worked and built their lives here. Families changed, people left and returned, traditions evolved and the village became part of the memories of people living far beyond the Banat.

The bicentenary is therefore not only an anniversary. It is an opportunity to collect photographs, documents, family histories and personal memories before they disappear.

Gerník’s history does not belong only to the past. Every photograph identified, every memory recorded and every story shared adds another piece to the history of the village.

Two hundred years after its beginnings, the story of Gerník continues.
